A Message from Our Pastor
Dear Parishioners and Friends of Exaltation of the Holy Cross,
When I think of our parish family, the first word that comes to mind is blessed. Despite a global pandemic and everything that resulted from it, our parish has grown significantly over the past few years. We welcomed new parishioners, created new and innovative fundraisers, and expanded upon the already great ministries that were in place.
Because of your financial support in the collections and our fundraising efforts over the past few years, we were able to install a state of the art live streaming software system with HD cameras. Now, hundreds of parishioners and friends are able to join us for the Celebration of the Eucharist weekly. We were also able to install a new sound system, complete the stained glass window project, and just last summer the major project in the front of the Church. In addition to maintaining our beautiful Church and grounds, we offer all of our dynamic programming at no cost. Elementary students, high school students, young adults, and adults are able to learn about their faith, have fun in a supportive environment, and grow in their relationship with God because of YOU.
We, as a parish, are also committed to being the beacon of light and hope in the Hanover Township community and beyond. So many in our local neighborhoods are really struggling in so many ways. Our parish increased our social justice outreach projects tremendously in 2022 to respond to the growing needs of our sisters and brothers.
With all of this in mind, I invite you to respond to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross new stewardship program: "We Accomplish Great Things Together." Please take some time to review the contents of this brochure and prayerfully consider how you and your family can play an active role in continuing the work of Jesus Christ through our parish community. Our goal is to increase our Sunday offertory contributions in order to grow our current ministries, to provide new ministries, and bring Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. This is no easy task in today's climate, but I am confident that we can make this happen together!
On March 4th and 5th, our parish will be holding a special Commitment Weekend, inviting members of our community to connect with one another and to make a financial commitment that will allow Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish to continue its important work. We are counting on you!
