Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to get involved and volunteer over the next few months. Come and help for whatever amount of time your schedule allows. We always have a GREAT time regardless of the tasks at hand!

september 2026

Wednesday, September 16: Unload Food Delivery from CEO. Time: TBD
Saturday, September 19: September Food Distribution - Sort and package food beginning at 10:45AM on the church grounds. Work the food distribution from Noon-1PM.

Wednesday, September 23: Onions - Peel and cut onions for the Potato Pancake Batter at 5:30PM in the outdoor pavilion. Bring your favorite knife and cutting board.
Friday, September 25: Make Potato Pancake Batter starting at 4:30PM in the outdoor kitchen
Saturday, September 26 & Sunday, September 27: Work the Potato Pancake Fest. Saturday: Noon-5PM, Sunday: Noon-4PM. Many jobs- make batter, dip pancakes, fry pancakes, serve and package pancakes, cleanup.

Saturday, October 3: Setup for the CASH BINGO at Warrior Run Fire Hall. Time: TBA
Sunday, October 4: Work CASH BINGO at Warrior Run Fire Hall. Many stations selling tickets, food, etc., serve tables, cleanup.

liturgical ministers needed

Altar Servers

Students in 3rd grade and older are encouraged to get involved in Mass as Altar Servers. Training is provided and a flexible schedule is created. Interested? Need more information? Contact Joan Cunard at 570-814-6444.

Eucharistic Ministers

Adults 18 and over are needed to help distribute Holy Communion at weekend Masses and special celebrations throughout the year. Training is provided by the Diocese of Scranton. We are in need of two ministers per Mass. For more information, contact Rosemary Gawat at 570-417-3404.

Lectors

Proclaim the word of God at Mass and lead the general intercessions. Training is provided. Youth and Adult Lectors serve on a rotating basis throughout the year. For more information, contact Dominick Costantino at 570-706-6951.

ministers of hospitality/Greeters

Hospitality is KEY at our parish. We want everyone to feel welcome the minute they walk through our doors. Our ushers and greeters make that dream a reality each weekend. Men and women are needed to serve in this crucial ministry. For more information, contact Ann Williams at 570-574-8287.
