1ST ANNUAL CANCER WALK

••Have you or someone you love been affected by Cancer?

••Are you interested in joining us for a 1 mile walk in support of ALL cancer awareness?

Join us on Sunday, October 22 for our 1st Annual CANCER WALK.
(We will walk through Hanover Green).

Registration on church grounds- 12:30PM / Walk begins- 1:00PM

Registration: $10 per person (Each participant will receive a T-shirt. For proper size, please register by Oct 1.)

You can honor/remember a loved one through a Yard Sign that will be displayed on the walk. Cost is $10 and you can include their name and a picture. Pictures can be emailed to pastoralcouncilexhc@gmail.com.

There will be beads, ribbons, tags, food and drinks (for a free-will donation).

Proceeds from the walk will go to local Cancer Charities.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance…

Exaltation of the Holy Cross SERVICE COMMITTEE will be providing care packages with nonperishable food items on Sunday, November 5 from Noon-2PM in the church parking lot.

Reservations must be in by Sunday, October 29. Click HERE to register online.

*Please Note: All information submitted is kept confidential.

Volunteers are needed to help package the food on Sunday, November 5 after the 9:30AM Mass and also for the drive-thru distribution.

We will read and pray with "Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage into the Heart of Scripture" by Ascension Press.

There will be complimentary tea, coffee and cocoa for all customers in the church hall.

The service, which recounts the Passion of Jesus - from his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane to his redeeming death on the cross, was started in Poland as a Lenten Devotion over 300 years ago. Incorporating prose and verse, chant and reading, prayer and meditation, the inspirational devotion reflects on the mystery of Christian redemption.

The devotional service can be experienced by all through the use of bilingual booklets, with both Polish and English lyrics.

A social will follow in the parish hall.
